	Head Lice can't jump or fly - they can only walk. They move from person to person by walking from head to head or from being transferred by sharing personal items such as combs or hats
	. Head lice bite then suck your blood....... Not Nice ! Lice can live for up to 2 days without a host, in other words they can quite happily survive on a brush or back of a sofa for up to 2 days before finding a new more comfortable home.....yours or your child's hair! Head lice can easily be missed in hair as they often appear to be the colour of your hair !
	Lady head lice can produce up to 150 eggs (Nits) in their life cycle of 4/5 weeks - the eggs (attached to the hair with a strong glue-like substance) incubate for about 7 to 14 days. The nymphs then continue to grow for around 8-10 days until they become full adult lice and then start making little baby ones of their own!
